Applications are invited from Indian Nationals fulfilling the eligibility criteria for the under mentioned posts at Indian Oil Corporation Ltd, Haldia Refinery.

1. Assistant Chemist
Discipline: Quality Control
Pay Scale: `13,800-38,500
No. of Posts: 01
Qualification:
B.SC (H) in chemistry.
Minimum post qualification Experience As on 30/11/2010:
4 years experience in a reputed chemical industry preferably in petrochemical /Hydrocarbon sector. Should have hands on experience on UV visible spectro photometer, AAS, GC, HPLC etc
2. Jr. Engg. Asstt-IV-(Production)
Discipline: Chemical
Pay Scale: `11,900-32,000
No. of Posts: 19
Qualification:
B.Sc with Physics, Chemistry/Ind. Chemistry & Mathematics or 3 yrs Diploma in Chemical Engineering. Minimum post qualification Experience As on 30/11/2010: One year experience in the operation of continuous chemical process plants in Fertilizer/Hydrocarbon Sector.
3. Jr. Engg. Asstt-IV- (P&U)
Discipline: Mech/Elect
Pay Scale: `11,900-32,000
No. of Posts: 02
Qualification:
B.Sc with Phy.,Chem.,& Math or 3 years Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
Minimum post qualification Experience As on 30/11/2010:
One year experience in Power Plant Operation (GT/Steam Turbine) including Raw/DM Water Treatment Plant/Air Compressor handling.
4. Jr. Engg. Asstt-IV- (Electrical)
Discipline: Electrical
Pay Scale:`11,900-32,000
No. of Posts: 01
Qualification:
3 Yrs. Diploma in Electrical Engineering
Minimum post qualification Experience As on 30/11/2010:
One year experience in maintenance and repair of electrical equipments preferably in Chemical process plants in Fertilizer/Hydrocarbon Sector.
5. Jr. Engg. Asstt-IV (F&S)
Discipline: Fire & Safety
Pay Scale: `11,900-32,000
No. of Posts: 01
Qualification:
Matric (Preferably B.Sc with Phy., Chem. & Math) with Sub-Officer’s course from NFSC-Nagpur or any equivalent course of same duration with HMV Driving License.
Minimum post qualification Experience As on 30/11/2010:
Two years experience in Fire Service in Petroleum/Petrochemical/ Fertilizer or other large scale Industries.
6. Jr. Engg. Asstt-IV-(Instrumentation)
Discipline: Instrumentation
Pay Scale: `11,900-32,000
No. of Posts: 01
Qualification:
3 yrs Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering
Minimum post qualification Experience As on 30/11/2010:
1 yr. experience in maintenance of process control instrumentation in petrochemical /Hydrocarbon/fertiliser sector.
7. Jr. Engg. Asstt-IV- (Mech-CC)
Discipline: Mechanical
Pay Scale: `11,900-32,000
No. of Posts: 03
Qualification:
3 yrs Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Matric with ITI in fitter trade.
Minimum post qualification Experience As on 30/11/2010:
For Diploma holders min 2 yr. experience & for ITI min three years experience in carrying out Rigging & Fitting activities related to maintenance of rotary equipments such as compressors, Gas/steam turbines, pumps and stationery equipments such as boilers, heat exchangers, column vessels, piping, valves and tanks etc. in a petroleum/petrochemical/fertilizer companies and large thermal power plants.
8. Chemical Attendant-III
Discipline: Quality Control
Pay Scale: `10,800-29,000
No. of Posts: 04
Qualification:
HS (Physics, Chemistry & Maths) Or B.Sc (Physics, Chemistry & Maths)
Minimum post qualification Experience As on 30/11/2010:
3 years exp in similar capacity in chemical/allied industry of repute in case of HS qualification. No experience in case of B.Sc qualification.
Age Limit:
• Minimum 18 years and maximum 26 years as on 30/11/2010 (Relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates for the posts reserved for them). Age relaxation applicable for Ex-Serviceman/PWD as per Govt. directives.
Selection Methodology:
• Selection would be based on written test / trade test and personal interview. The candidates will have to pass successfully through each stage of the selection process including medical fitness for being adjudged suitable for selection.
• Filling up of vacancies is solely at the discretion of the management based on suitability of candidates and no claim will arise for appointment, if vacancies are not filled due to unsuitability/insufficient number of candidates.
